I had the pleasure of doing the Everest Panorama Trek with Escape Himalaya. I really had the idea of trekking on the mighty Himalayas as vacation and this was finally made into a reality when I finally had the chance to complete my wish. Arun made all of the arrangements for me for trekking and everything was done in such a way that it all scheduled perfectly with my time there, with not a day to waste. (A few days were kept as reserves in case of delays for the flight to Lukla, but it turned out that we didn’t really need them in the end because the flight was on time). When I arrived at the airport, I was greeted with warm greetings and brilliant hospitalities from the Escape Himalaya staff. On the trekking trail as well, the views of Everest, Ama Dablam and Lhotse among many other peaks provided a grand sense of tranquility and winsome natural beauty to the absolutely gorgeous terrain of the Everest region. Upon visiting the Tengboche Monastery, I had a little conversation with the monks there as well and had a good laugh. With my backpack and my trekking gear, it turns out I wasn’t a complete outsider there because I met lots of other trekkers and hikers along the way. Even on the lodges, I had my room shared by other about 5 trekkers and it was god fun.

With proper planning of the routes and the visits to far-off villages, my guide made sure that I had the best views and sights on the trekking journey. The Himalayan wilderness of the region adds so much more beauty to everything, it is absolutely insane! Add the traditions and cultures of the people and the decorated monasteries and Gumbas lining the trail and I got myself the best trekking experience! The people of the village were also very humble and their peaceful and relaxed way of living was such a contrast to the fast paced way of life back at the city. The open pasturelands with yaks and goats made me wanted to never leave the place!

Overall, a most profound trip with panoramic vistas of the Himalayas accompanying me on the trails. The sight of Everest and the villages and the people will forever be engraved into my mind. Thank You Escape Himalaya for this amazing experience!
