Starting from the buzz of the city, the hike leads us to tranquil and calm villages and verdant rhododendron forests to the opulence of snow-covered vistas. We shall pass through the settlements at Nayapul all the way to Deurali, gaining insights into the lives of the local people and inhabitants and experiencing the culture and tradition of the people from adjacent proximity. The splendid sunrise and the mystical sunset, the change of the color of the sky from a radiant blue to the hues of burning gold at twilight can all be experienced from Ghorepani and Poon Hill as we continue our trek to Annapurna Base Camp. While corresponding with Escape Himalaya’s team and staff about trekking trips on early March of last year, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek was recommended to me. One of the most popular trekking destinations, the prospect of a lovely trek to the mountains in the Annapurna region sounded like an ideal vacation time! Booking the trip for March soon followed suit and the professional correspondence with Escape Himalaya’s team made me a 100% reassured that I was definitely going to be under the care and guidance of a most diligent travel agency. Going on the trip with my friend, it was a relatively moderate trip and it was certainly felt as such by us who are both older than 50 years. But with proper handling by the guide and the porter, the trip was done with ease. We did have to stop at a couple of places for the fear of altitude sickness and the case of breathlessness, but out guide was most understanding and helped along every single step of the way. Going at a slow pace, we had to reschedule the trekking route but with prompt response from the members at Kathmandu, we were able to arrange the trip for a prolonged period of time. Even though it took longer than expected, the trek was by all means an absolutely delightful experience. The success and the luminary of the trek would have to go to the guide and the porter who were patient and ever so helpful with us.
The visit to Poon Hill was a major highlight of the trek as the vantage point there offers a 180 degree view of the Annapurna massif; this was a sight that was never before experience. The way the Himalayas line up surrounding the valley into a bowl is astounding! The open spaces reaching into far off distance at Dovan was like walking on a sea of green carpet, the sight was ravishing. The small tea houses had one of the best available services and now I can brag about having buttered tea with the view of the Annapurna mountains right across a small gorge! It doesn’t get any better than this. Me and my friend are so glad we did this and we would like to thank Escape Himalaya for arranging this trip and our trusted guide for making it perfect and a master stroke in the painting of this amazing tapestry. Really, Escape Himalaya cannot be recommended higher enough.
With advertisements presenting adventure activities like Zip-flying and paragliding in the mountains, I was pulled in by the travel and adventure activities that Escape Himalaya was presenting. So, on a whim, i decided that I need to do this and made contact with Escape Himalayas team and staff members. Arun, the person who was in charge for my trekking experience to the Annapurna base Camp, then made all of the arrangements. What I like the most about Escape Himalaya is that they arranged this trekking journey of mine in a relatively less amount of money, which was totally agreeable with my budget! And the services regarding the cost, I thought they were satisfactory. What I really wanted to get out from this trekking experience however was adventure sports along with the rest of the views of the views of the mountains and the villages and nature and such. As discussed, Escape Himalaya made me a customized itinerary that was to my liking and convenience. The days were stretched for longer as I decided that i wanted to spend more time in Pokhara for paragliding and rafting. The serene boat-ride in the Fewa Lake in the evening was one of the most beautiful moments of the trekking journey. Then, after that, a little visit to the vantage point to Poon Hill via Ghorapani proved to be worth the penny because the views of the mountain from there is spectacular! They told me that it would be best if i visited early in the morning, before the crack of dawn because of the views and so I did, and they were certainly not mistaken. When the Sun’s rays hits the mountain and starts changing it color, that was one of the most tear-jerky beautiful moment you often read about in books. I am really glad that I caught that, it will forever be engraved in my mind.
Escape Himalaya are amazing and their team and staff members are some of the most efficient trekking crew and staff I have had the pleasure to work with. They worked fast and arranged the transportations and the hotels on a whim. The flights were all on schedule and I got so much more than my money’s worth. I recommend that every enthusiastic traveler try out adventure sports and activities at Pokhara if they ever find themselves trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp. Escape Himalaya all the way!
With many years of trekking under my belt, I had wanted to try out the trekking journey in the Annapurna Region of Nepal, seeing as that was one of the region’s, among many others, I had not had the pleasure of trekking yet. I decided to go along with Escape Himalaya as they have proven to be one of the most reliable trekking and travel agencies out there, ranking with the best. Annapurna Base Camp Trek certainly did provide me with a different experience of trekking, it was similar and different at the same time with the Everest Base Camp Trek that I had previous undergone. I mean, it is only fair that i start my trekking condiments with excursing to Mount Everest first! anyway, Annapurna Region is different from Khumbu in the sense that there are more water-bodies present, scattered throughout the region. The inclusion of the Lake-side city of Pokara added to the journey as well. The city, by all means vastly different from the capital, had more natural aspects to it, where as Kathmandu has more religious and historical aspect. I also had a chance to go rafting as well, which is always a bonus. Another thing i the trekking trail itself. The Everest Base Camp Trek had a lot more dry trails going through Sagarmatha National Park, but the trekking trail to the Annapurna Base Camp had lots more brooks, streams and small rivers. The mountain itself are different, i guess explaining their heterogeneity by me who does not necessarily has any penmanship skills would not do them any justice. But the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking was enjoyable and was amazing. It was beautiful and gorgeous. The mountain views were all majestic and lovely to look at and i knew that I was very lucky to have experienced something so beautiful regarding mother nature. The Poon Hill vantage point was one of the highlights of the trek, the view of the Annapurna massif from there is just something that takes everyone’s breath away. i enjoyed that bit of my trekking journey immensely.
Escape Himalaya did a good job with arranging everything. they took care of the hotels and the lodges where I stayed. The food there was good, it was similar to other regions I had visited. I loved the villages and the local people, everyone was nice and friendly. I would definitely be going with Escape Himalaya again if i do decide to go to another regions for more trekking and hiking journeys.
I went through with the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with my husband recently with Escape Himalaya and it was a vacation well spent! Being a moderate trek, both me and my husband had an easier time trekking on the mountain’s trails. We admired the natural views of the mountains at Annapurna very dearly and the natural landscape of the place was also quite fascinating and wonderful to experience. Escape Himalaya really helped us with our trip, from bookings, transportation, accommodations and guides. The team members of Escape Himalaya were extremely helpful and friendly. The guide who accompanied us to the Annapurna Base Camp was Rajendra and because of his easy going nature and his proficiency, he made sure that everything on the trekking trails were alright.
Annapurna Base Camp has a trekking trail that is one of the most beautiful trekking trails that we had the pleasure of undergoing. The region of Annapurna is also very beautiful and the views of the Annapurna mountains from the vantage points at Poon Hill and Ghorepani were out of this world! We really enjoyed it, and we would definitely recommend Escape Himalaya as an ideal travel agency! Cheers!
From my first email query to Nepal- based travel agency- Escape Himalaya, I was awed with the reply time and detail information. The agent from Escape Himalaya worked for me to confirm that my journey to Annapurna Base Camp, Nepal was customized according to my interest. These days, it is very exceptional to find such a worthy and personal level of service.
It was my first time in Nepal so I was not much sure what to expect, but the care and services provided by Escape Himalaya was wonderful. We were picked up at the airport by the representative, and then driven to the hotel in Kathmandu. We drove to Pokhara passing by stunning sight of attractive landscape, and splendid panorama of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and more. Hiking to Poon Hill (3210m) was a breathtaking experience as we were rewarded by attention-grabbing sunrise view on top of the striking peaks like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Reaching Annapurna Base Camp and capturing the views of Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and many more peaks was truly overwhelming.
Apart from awesome memories of witnessing dazzling scenery, I was pleased with the services Escape Himalaya provided. Every small factor was taken into concern and it made the holiday really stress free. I would choose the tour operator again if I get the opportunity to visit Nepal again.
