Day 01 Arrive at Paro
You will arrive at Paro enjoying a scenic flight. If the weather is clear, splendid views of highest peak ranges emerge into existence for you to look at. After finishing the custom formalities at the airport, you will get a brief description about the tour. At the hotel, you can just relax and get about shaking off the jet lag. Alternatively, you can visit a Dzong which is a National Museum at present, where you can see extensive hodgepodge of very old items. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 02 Paro - Thimphu
We will, on this day, move to Thimpu from Paro. On this day, we will hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, located 10,400 feet high. We will enjoy reaching the steep cliff at about 3,000 feet on top of the Paro Valley. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche, one of the great spiritual masters, had landed there to meditate in a cave, flying on the back of a tigress. After having an amazing and quite a winsome experience, we will travel to Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 Sightseeing Tour around Thimphu
We will have a sightseeing tour around Thimpu on this day. We will visit the Memorial Chorten, which is also named as the Thimpu Chorten and is located in Doeboom Lama. Also, we will make a trip to the Changangkha Monastery set on an edge on top of central Thimpu, established in the 12th century. We will also excurse around the Nunnery temple, a Buddhist monastery located in Zilukha, and then tour the School of Arts and Crafts, a premier institution of traditional crafts and art founded by the Government of Bhutan. We will also have a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum which is a three-storey building imitating an old farmhouse. We will also visit the traditional paper factory; have a look around the magnificent Tashichhodzong and the gigantic Buddha sculpture, which is considered as the largest Buddha statue in the world. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 Thimphu - Paro
On this day, we will stroll around Thimpu. With an hour’s walk from Radio Tower, we will hike to Wangditse Monastery which is located at a flat set surrounded by a wooded area of pine trees and presents a wonderful view of north Thimpu Valley. You might spot Takins, the national animal of Bhutan residing in the Himalayas as well. With amazing memories, we will return back to Thimpu and then drive back to Paro. In Paro, you can explore around the village and get to see the culture and way of life of the people up close. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 Depart Paro
After finishing the Glimpse of Bhutan Tour, you will, on this day, depart from Paro.
