Day 01 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu
An airport representative from Escape Himalaya will welcome you as soon as you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. The representative will also help you transfer to your hotel and give brief descriptions about the trek. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Drive Kathmandu to Bhandar (1520m/4985ft), Duration: 7-8 hours
We will drive to Jiri from Kathmandu early in the morning today, which takes around 7 hours. From Jiri, we will keep on driving to Bhandar lying at the height of 1520m. In Bhandar, we will be greeted by the striking views of the Koshi River and the eastern Himalayan Peak views of Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung and more. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 03 Trek to Sete (2500m/8200ft), Duration: 7 hours
We will depart from Bhandar on this day and walk downhill traversing to Likhu Khola via a suspension bridge. We will also trek on the twisting trail that leads us to a small Kinja village. Then, we will have a lengthy climb to Lamura pass which presents exceptional views of the stunning scenery of the land and remote villages. Walking further ahead, we will finally arrive at Sete, a small village occupied by Sherpa people which is situated in the heart of verdant rhododendron woods. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 04 Trek to Junbesi (2675m/8774ft), Duration: 7 hours
With a fairly gradual climb, we will reach at the top of Lamjura Pass situated at 3530m, which offers stunning views of surrounding landscape. We will pass through a scenic way through densely vegetated acreages of magnolia, maple, rhododendron and birch that is decorated to a heaven-like picture by the stunning background of the Himalayas. We will also get to see white, pink and red rhododendrons budding beautifully during spring season. We will also walk on a steep way downwards on the eastern side of Lamjura Pass. We will, after that climb that allows us to walk in adjacent to huge Mani walls, carry on walking to reach Junbesi, a splendid Sherpa settlement amidst quite an attractive landscape. Day 05 Trek to Nuntala (2345m/76916ft), Duration: 7 hours
From Sete, we will on this day travel to Nunthala set at the altitude of 2345m, which takes around 7 hours of travel time. We will climb to an edge of the terrain set at the elevation of 3,080m. The edge starts showing up views of Mount Everest. From here, we will also pass by the hospital as well as the airstrip lying at Phaplu. We will leave Salung behind, and move down to the Ringmo River and make our way up again to Ringmo. On the way, we will get to see the Apple House- which provides delish apple pies and apple juices. Walking further on, we will reach Trakshindo pass (3,071m). From the pass, we will be passing the monastery and get to Nunthala, lying at the height of 2,345m. Day 06 Trek to Khari Khola (2194m/7196ft), Duration: 6 hours
From Nunthala, we will make our way down to the ever jovial Dudh Koshi River and traverse across the river via a large suspension bridge. Then, our way moves through florescent meadows as well as a settlement with several houses named Jubing, occupied by Rai inhabitants. Near the settlement, we will also notice the Khari Khola, located at 2010m. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 07 Trek to Puiyan (2890m/9479ft), Duration: 6 hours
We will walk ahead from Khari Khola today. On the way, we can see a bunch of houses over the ridge of Bupsa. We will move further on from the village and traverse the Khari Khola via one of the suspension bridges. With a steep climb, we will reach to Bupsa, lying at 2300m. Then, we will begin a climb to Puiyan with the Sherpa settlements and the woods running along the trekking trails. We will also pass through a slim gorge before reaching Puiyan. Day 08 Trek to Phakding (2652m/8699ft), Duration: 6 hours
We will, on this day, walk for 6 hours from Puiyan. We will carry on walking on a ridge positioned at 2,800 m high. We will also experience a gradual climb to the ending point of the ridge. Then, we will move down to Surke following the route to Phakding. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 09 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft), Duration: 6 hours
Walking along the Dudh Koshi River on this day, we will also walk across the magnificent river several times via suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags. We will then enter the Sagarmatha National Park which is a Natural Heritage Sites in Nepal acknowledged by UNESCO. On the way, while climbing, we will be greeted by the breathtaking views of the mountains. The park also presents a beguiling environment that is ornamented lavishly with emerald alpine vegetations and jaded forests. There are many animals that have their habitat in the park and you might encounter glimpses of rare animals within its chartreuse acreages while trekking across. Then finally, we will reach Namche Bazaar, known as the entrance to the Everest region. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 10 Namche Bazar and Everest View Hotel
At Namche Bazaar, to become accustomed with the high altitude of 3440m and to avoid altitude sickness, we will rest for a day. We will also make our way up to Everest View Hotel to get the magnificent views of mountains like Everest, Ama Dablam and several others with a short hike. We will, after that, go back to Namche again. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 11 Trek to Tengboche (3860m/12660ft), Duration: 5 hours
While walking to Tengboche, we will walk observing superb views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and quite a near view of the Kangtega Peak and the Thamserku. On the way, we may also get to see sights of the elusive Musk Deer, Himalayan Thar, the colorful pheasant– Danphe and more. We will walk down to Dudh Koshi River again and walk across the river through a bridge. Then, strolling on a path, we would be passing through pine and juniper woods before reaching Tengboche. Here, you can walk around the famous Tengboche Monastery with the setting of Ama Dablam, Mount Everest, Nuptse, and many other peaks decorating the backdrop like an ivory tapestry. Day 12 Trek to Dingboche (4410m/14464ft), Duration: 5 hours
Our path today moves down from Tengboche, twisting serpentine with the rhododendron woods to Deboche. We will walk across the Imja River by means of a bridge. We will also pass by the Pangboche village, the biggest settlement of mainly Sherpas where we can make a trip to the Pangboche monastery, one of the very aged monasteries. We will walk on the plains to Dingboche, the entrance of the Imja Tse Valley. It is also the opening point to Chhukung. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 13 Hike to Nagerjun (5100m/16728ft) and return Dingboche, Duration: 6 hours
This is another acclimatization day and you will rest in Dingboche. We will experience a short walk to Nagerjun set at 5100m. At Nagerjun, the attention-grabbing vistas of the Tarboche Peak (6367m), Kangtega (6685m), Thamserku (6608m), Lobuche East (6119m), Ama Dablam (6856m) and Lobuche West (6145m) among many others is sure to fascinate us . Then, we will return to Dingboche. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 14 Trek to Lobuche (4910m/16105ft), Duration: 5 hours
We will walk ahead from Dingboche today, which takes around 5 hours. We will have a fairly challenging experience on the way since we need to deal with a steep slant path to the deadly moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We will then walk along the rough trail to Lobuche. Day 15 Trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17594ft) & back to Gorekshep (5181m/16994ft), Duration: 8 hours
Trekking to the Everest Base Camp lying at the height of 5,364m is the most important day of the trek. We will walk on a breezy and rocky trail that offers a superb background of splendid views of the highest peak- Mount Everest along with its surrounding peaks like the Pumori, Nuptse and several others. The picture of the Khumbu Icefall from here is striking. We will then move back to Gorekshep. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 16 Hiking to Kala Patthar (5545m/18188ft) - Gorekshep - Pheriche (4210m/13809ft), Duration: 7 hours
Experiencing the glory of reaching the base of the highest peak, we will have an awesome hiking experience while climbing to Kala Patthar today, which is set at the altitude of 5,545m. We will be ascending early in the morning to observe the sun rise from the peak of Kala Patthar. At from the break of the dawn, you will be subjected to the extraordinary views of Mt. Everest, Lingtren, Pumori, Khumbutse, Changtse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and several others. We will then trek down to Gorakshep and descend further to Pheriche. Day 17 Trek to Namche (3440m/11283ft), Duration: 7 hours
We will, on this day, walk down through the Sherpa settlements at Pangboche, and also visit the Pangboche monastery which is one of the oldest monasteries in the Khumbu region. The trail also goes across the Imja River through a bridge. We will then walk on a wider track to Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 18 Trek to Lukla (2800m/9184ft), Duration: 7 hours
We will walk ahead leaving Namche behind and pass along the Dudh Koshi River. Afterward, we will wander to Monjo. From Namche Bazaar, we will walk to Phakding and walk further to Lukla. Overnight stay at the guest house, lunch, dinner and breakfast included.
Day 19 Fly back to Kathmandu
After experiencing breathtaking moments of Jiri to Everest Base Camp, we will fly back to Kathmandu on this day. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu. Breakfast included.
