The Manaslu Circuit Trek starts with a drive to Arughat and then travelling to the ebullient Soti Khola, jovial in its silver flow from the mountains. You would be trudging through verdant and lush woodlands rich in their emerald vegetations and trek along the Budhi Gandaki River. Coming across the village of Labubesi, a dainty Gurung settlement, you would be subjected to an opulent picture of the ravishing terrain of the Manaslu region. The Machha Khola, effervescent in its percolate, decorates the landscape like the silver stitching in the jaded embroidery of the landscape of the Manaslu region. The village of Jagat, Philim and Deng approaches the trekking trail, presenting you a closer look at the religious customs and traditions of the local people residing in those areas. Trekking to Namrung, you would be beguiled by the absolutely magnificent views of the vistas of the mountain peaks like the Sringi Himal. Walking ahead, the beautiful sight of the Himchuli Himal is quite captivating at Lamagaun. Day 01 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu
As you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by one of our representatives from Escape Himalaya. You will then be transferred to your hotel where you will proceed to check-in. There are no planned activities for the day, so you may relax and get to know that lay of the land at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 Kathmandu to Soti Khola (710m/2328ft) via Arughat (695m/2280ft), Duration: 8-9 hrs
We will, on this day, drive to Arughat and then drive ahead to reach Soti Khola which takes around 8 hours. We will pass by the Nepalese landscape decorated with the backdrops of giant mountain sceneries during the drive. We will be driving from Kathmandu to the district headquarter of Dhading - Dhading Bensi, and then reach Arughat. From Arughat, a main city in the region, we will drive further to Soti Khola. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 03 Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m/2952ft), Duration: 5-6 hrs
We will, on this day, keep on walking along the rising and falling trail. We will also pass by vibrantly rich forests and climb ahead along the Budhi Gandaki. From this point, we will walk down to the wide river shore and after that, keep on walking on a twisting mountain trail. We will also walk passing rice terraces and around Labubesi, a Gurung village. We will, on this day, trek for around 6 hours to reach Machha Khola. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 04 Machha Khola to Jagat (1340m/4395ft), Duration: 6 hrs
Walking ahead from Machha Khola, we will walk on a rising and falling trail and traverse along the Tharo Khola to reach Khorlabesi. We will also traverse to Tatopani, a small hot spring. And then, we will walk across the Budhi Gandaki through a suspension bridge. We will have to walk across a landslide above a ridge to Dobhan. After that, going across the Yaru River via a bridge, we will climb the stony stairs and walk down to the river and once more go up to Tharo Bharyang, taking a path with stony staircases. We will walk on the west bank of Budhi Gandaki River and then climb to the Jagat village. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 05 Jagat to Philim (1700m/5576ft), Duration: 5 hrs
On this day, we will walk for approximately for 5 hours to reach Philim from Jagat. On the way, we will walk to Sirdabas which presents stunning vistas of Sringi Himal. We will also traverse a long suspension bridge and make our way up steeply to Philim. We can walk around Philim to see adjacent hillsides enveloped in the emerald quintessence of the natural environment after we reach there. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 06 Philim to Deng (2095m/6871ft), Duration: 5 hrs
Walking further on from Philim, we will pass along the pleasant path being rewarded by inspiring cascades of water-bodies scattered around the terrain. We will also pass by the settlement of Eklebhatti and traverse a river two times via suspension bridges. Passing another location named Euwa; we will walk through the valley to get to Deng Village. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 07 Deng to Namrung (2900m/9512ft), Duration: 5 hrs
Trekking for around 5 hours, we will walk ahead from Deng to Namrung. We will pass through the Budhi Gandaki River and make way up to Rana, lying at the height of 1910m. Walking from the west part of the Budhi Gandaki valley, we will also walk through wooded areas to reach Ghap. We will also walk passing the Prok village, which presents the striking view of Sringi Himal. We need to go across Budi Gandaki many times and will also pass by small monasteries. Enjoying the pleasant walk coruscating steeply up, we will reach Namrung. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 08 Namrung to Samagaon (3500m/11480ft), Duration: 6 hrs
We will depart from Namrung and walk ahead to Lamagaun which is the view point for beautiful Himalchuli Peak, and will keep on walking to Lho. Lho has the Ribung monastery within its vicinity, which presents exceptional views of Mt. Manaslu lying at the height of 8163m as well as several other snowy peaks ornamented by carvings of the Mani Walls. We will also walk to Syala, located at the height of 3510m, through pine and rhododendron acreages. Walking ahead, we will reach the big village of Samagaon situated at the height of 3500m, which rewards you with resplendent views of Mt. Manaslu. Day 09 Acclimatization day at Samagaon
To avoid altitude sickness, we will acclimatize in Samagaon on this day. We will get an inspiring chance to walk around and know about Sherpa culture here. Also, we can enjoy the spectacles of numerous Mani stones carved with Buddhist prayers. Close to Samagaon, we will get to visit the Pungyen Gompa, an age-old monastery with an immensely spectacular view. Overnight in Samagaon. Day 10 Samagaon to Samdo (3690m/12103ft), Duration: 3 hrs
We will leave Samagaon and walk ahead to Samdo on this day, which takes around 3 hours. We will walk across pasture areas and steadily climb up the valley. Here, incredible views of the peaks especially Manaslu (8163m) will appeal us with its serenity. Samdo is a Tibetan refugee settlement. We can also explore around to get acquainted with the Tibetan culture and their way of life. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 11 Samdo to Dharmashala (4450m/14596ft), Duration: 4 hrs
With an easy walk today, we will walk across the Budhi Gandaki River and walk ahead where we will notice Mani walls with prayers carved on it. Our path then climbs all the way through juniper woods and tundra vegetations with a scenic viewpoint where the Larkya La Glacier appears. Climbing further, we will reach the Dharmashala (4460m).Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 12 Dharmashala to Bhimphedi (3590m/11775ft) via Cross Larkya La pass (5220m/17121ft), Duration: 8 hrs
This is one of the most significant days of our trek. We will gradually climb over the edge at the back of Dharmashala. You won’t have a challenging route but it is lengthy. We will walk down passing sapphire lakes and traverse along the Larkya La Pass set at the height of 5160mtrs. As you reach the apex, we can notice the Himlung Himal (7126m), Kang Guru (6981m), Annapurna II (7937m) and several other peaks in their colossal majesty. We will then return back, descending through a wide and stunning valley to a very picturesque settlement of Bhimphedi lying at the height of 3590m. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 13 Bhimphedi to Tilje (2300m/7544ft), Duration: 5 hrs
We will descend from Bhimphedi to Tilje, lying at the height of 2300m. We will also walk down through pine and rhododendron woods and verdant emerald meadows to reach Hampuk. Then, descending further to reach at the Dudh Khola’s river bank, we will reach Karche. We will also pass by the Gho Village. Then, to conclude our trek for this day, we will walk to Tilje, a Gurung settlement. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 14 Tilje to Chamje (1410m/4625ft), Duration: 6-7 hrs
We will trek for approximately 7 hours on this day, to reach Chamje, which is 1410m high. On the way, we will climb over a small edge and walk passing beautiful villages. We will also traverse along the Dudh Khola, accompanied by Mani walls before reaching the Thonje Village. We will also complete our formalities at a police checkpoint before reaching Dharapani. We will also then walk by the Karta village and Tal village on the way. We can witness awesome sceneries of large waterfalls at Tal. Descending from here for some time, we will reach the Chamje village. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 15 Chamje to Kathmandu (1337m), Duration: 8 hrs
From Chamje, the path moves through rhododendron and pine woods to Syange. We will then drive from Syange to Kathmandu enjoying scenes of the hills, lush woods, jaded florescent meadows and magnificent mountain landscapes. As we reach Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 16 Farewell
Today marks the end-day for the trekking trip. You will be escorted by one of our Escape Himalaya representative to the airport from where you will depart.
