For trekking in Nepal, you will need a 60-80 liter duffle bag made of durable, water-resistant material. Escape Himalaya provides a duffle bag for your gear, carried by porters. For your day pack, choose a 20-30 liter pack with adjustable straps, hydration compatibility, and multiple compartments. Ensure both bags are durable and comfortable for the trek​.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek normally lasts 16 to 18 days and covers 160 to 230 kilometres. Trekkers usually begin their adventure anywhere between Besisahar and Jagat, passing through woods, villages, and mountain passes such as Thorong La Pass.

Hiking speeds vary depending on fitness level and terrain. Most walkers maintain a pace of 2-3 mph (3.2-4.8 km/h), however this can be slower on difficult terrain, dipping to 1-1.5 mph (1.6-2.4 km/h).
