    Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu

    Our office delegate will be at the airport to welcome you with the placard of Escape Himalaya. He will smoothly escort you to the hotel in a private vehicle. We will conduct a brief orientation to explain the trek at the hotel. Afterward, there are no scheduled activities. You can take a rest for the day.

    Morning flight to Pokhara (910m/2,984ft), drive to Banthanti & trek to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,348ft), Duration: 8 Hours

    Today you will fly to the beautiful ‘Lake City’- Pokhara. While on a flight, stunning views of terraced fields, rural settlements, and incredible mountain panoramas are wonderful.

    After landing at Pokhara, we'll take a 2-hour drive to Banthanti. The trek starts from Banthanti jeep station with a small break ahead at Nangethanti for lunch. The walk goes through the pristine forest and small villages.

    Leaving Nangethanti, you'll hike to the traditional Ghodepani (Ghorepani) village. Throughout the trail, you will have appreciating views of the all-encompassing Himalayan ranges.

    Hike up to Poon Hill and trek down to Tadapani (2,610m/8,560ft), Duration: 6 Hours

    This is a highlighted day of the trek. You will wake up at dawn early in the morning and hike to the vantage point of Poon Hill, from where the panoramic views of the entire Annapurna mountain massif can be seen. The sunrise view from the vantage point of Poon Hill is a breathtaking affair! Peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, and more can be seen from Poon Hill.

    After spending memorable moments at the vantage point enjoying the mountain panorama, we will walk to Tadapani, which takes about five hours. Tadapani is a beautiful village set at a height of 2,610 meters.

    Trek to Ghandruk (1,950m/6,396ft) and drive to Pokhara , Duration: 4.5 Hours

    After a warm breakfast at Tadapani, we will continue our return walk to Ghandruk. It takes about 3 hours of hiking through dense forest to get to Ghandruk. On the way to Ghandruk, we will walk down to Bhaise Kharka; it takes about 2 hours to reach Ghandruk from Bhaisi Kharka. Ghandruk is a charming village that the Gurung people majorly occupy. The village offers excellent vistas of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli Himal, and Machhapuchhre.

    From Ghandruk, we will drive back to Pokhara and conclude our stunning journey filled with tranquil moments in nature.

    Pokhara to Kathmandu

    You will drive back to Kathmandu today. It is an excellent choice to carry for traveling due to its versatility and ease of handling.

    Down Jacket

    A down jacket, also known as a puffer jacket is a quilted coat filled with soft feathers either from a duck or goose. Down jackets are more popular for cold climates and especially useful in mountains and higher altitudes. They are generally preferred by hikers, trekkers, and backpackers for being extremely comfortable due to their lightweight and compressibility making it easy to pack without occupying a lot of space. It has an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio, best for maintaining body heat essential for trekking in cold climates and higher altitudes.

    Sleeping Bag

    The sleeping bags we use are mummy-shaped with a zip up and down that keeps the top tight around you. It is used in cold and wet climates in high altitudes( -20°C to  -25°C maximum temperature) giving you protection, and comfort and as well it is also lightweight and compact which it easy to carry on long treks. The sleeping bag is returned after the trek as it helps us to maintain our gear for future adventurers.

    However, if you prefer freedom and flexibility, trekking solo (private) will give you the independence to set your own pace and choose your itinerary.     Q14. Which time of year is ideal for trekking to Annapurna Base Camp?

    The months of February to June and October to December are the best times to trek at Annapurna Base Camp. We'll be trekking from mid-September to May. Early September is when the monsoonal rains stop. The weather is often consistent from the end of September until the end of December, with temperate to warm days and cold nights.

    Q15. Is a permit required to hike to Annapurna Base Camp?

    The Annapurna Conservation Area permission (ACAP) and the Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) permission are required to hike to Annapurna Base Camp. You can get these licenses in Pokhara or Kathmandu.
