You may arrive at the airport at any time. One of Escape Himalaya's representatives will be there waiting for you and will greet and welcome you. You will then be transferred to your hotel, and we will explain further trip programs. After checking in, you may relax at the hotel as nothing else is planned for the day. Overnight at the hotel.
A short scenic flight to Pokhara will be taken to you today. Pokhara is a magnificent lake-side city with gorgeous views of various mountain peaks like Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Machhapuchhre, five peaks of the Annapurna range, and others. Numerous lakes of Pokhara offer fishing, boating, and swimming- the city itself is famous as the city of lakes. Pokhara is the country's tourist hub, situated in the center of Nepal and nestled in a region brimming with natural beauty. From Pokhara, you will drive to Nayapul (42km) by car/taxi via the large village of Lumle and walk for about 20 minutes to the large and prosperous town of Birethanti. The trail follows the main street of Birethanti and goes through bamboo forests and past large waterfalls and swimming holes.
Further beyond lies the pastures dotted with pony caravans and mountain goats. As you follow the trail, you reach the village of Ramghai for lunch. Then, you would be moving up the path that climbs gradually through the side of the valley to reach Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
From Tikhe Dhunga, you would be trekking on trails that cross small streams and jovial rivers via suspension bridges near the campsite at Tikhe Dhunga. The trail ascends a steep stone staircase (about 3,300 steps) to the Magar village at Ulleri, at 2,080 meters. Above the town, the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There is a campsite for rest, and water stops one hour's walk above Ulleri. The trail crosses two sparking streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti, where you will stop for lunch. "Thanti" is a Nepali word translated to "Resthouse." In the winter, the trail is usually covered in snow. From Nangethanti, you will climb to Ghorepani, which lies at an altitude of 2,850 meters. From here, you can see spectacular panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri Peak (8,167m), the Tukuche Peak (6,940m), Annapurna I (8,091m), the Hiunchuli Himal (6,441m), and the Tarke Kang Himal (7,139m). Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
This morning, you will wake up early and hike to Poon Hill. From Poon Hill, superb sunrise views amidst the Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Fish Tail/Machhapuchhre, and nearby peaks are gorgeous. After visiting Poon Hill, you will return to Ghorepani for a hot breakfast and continue walking to Tadapani. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
Dropping from Tadapani, the route passes the Gurung settlement and is adorned with marvelous views of the Upper Modi Valley. The path then starts as a long ascend high above the west bank of the Modi Khola. You will pass the village of Chhomrong, which lies tucked at the very base of the Hiunchuli. From Chhomrong, the trail descends, reaching the Chhomrong Khola, and as you get to the river, you will be required to begin a slow climb as you head to your destination for the day. Sinuwa is a lovely little ethnic village with fantastic mountain views and natural surroundings. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
You will proceed to Kuldi Ghar today, walking for about two and a half to 3 hours. There is a clearing in a forest a little further from where the route goes very steeply down a bank of rocks and then levels out, running through thickets of Bamboo at the bottom of the gorge that keeps on the left side of the river. You will also pass by the pastureland at Tomo, and then the very neck of the canyon at Barah has a small trail that passes by a shrine. The tracks then steadily climb up to the Himalayas, with the village of Deurali at the intersection. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
Today, you will climb the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (which isn't a Base Camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted) to reach the Annapurna Base Camp. The area is also called the Annapurna Sanctuary since mountains surround it. From here, it is a two-hour trek to the Annapurna Base Camp, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding ivory peaks. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
You will be following the same trail down today, which drops by 1,700 meters to the banks of the Modi Khola to Bamboo, which lies at 2,345 meters. Bamboo has a few guesthouses and lodges and offers splendid natural sights. The trail is adorned with the river's raw vitality and offers pretty views of the natural surroundings. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
Today, you would be on a similar trail that leads to the village of Chhomrong. Once you pass Khuldighar, you will come across an experimental sheep farm, and the trail continues through rhododendrons and bamboo fields. Once you arrive at the hot spring at Jhinu Danda, you can relax in the spring waters to soothe your muscles after hiking. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.
From the hot springs at Jhinu Danda, you will walk to the Jhinu Danda Jeep Station. This 15-20 minute walk is the final stroll of the trek. You will cross a long suspension bridge before reaching the jeep station and take a local jeep ride to Pokhara. After almost 2 hours of driving, you'll reach Pokhara, from where you will take the latest flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel. Breakfast and Lunch are included
One of Escape Himalaya's representatives will transfer you to the airport approximately three hours before your scheduled flight. Then you will depart with incredible memories made at Annapurna Sanctuary. Breakfast is included.
