    Overview

The Pisang Peak Climbing offers you breathtaking views of the gorgeous Manang Valley and many surrounding peaks as you ascend through the heavy snow to reach the summit. If you are looking forward to climbing a peak in the Annapurna region of Nepal then Pisang Peak Climbing is the most opted-for expedition journey in that particular region of the country. Pisang Peak is a pyramid-shaped peak that spreads uniformly above the yak pastures and village of Pisang. The steeply sloped peak made up of ice rocks is quite technical to climb. However, it offers the best views of the Annapurna panorama, the Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna, and other glaciers in the region along with the sight of the gorgeously isolated Manang Valley. The climbing journey is spiritual in a sense, as you encounter various monasteries and stupas, and above all pass the holy Muktinath temple on your way.

If you want to experience the raw appeal of the mountains by climbing up to its peak, then you must learn to handle ridges and fixed ropes as you traverse through the sloppy rock faces of Pisang Peak. Though the climb is challenging and demanding, the spectacular views that your eyes will perceive as you summit the peak are nothing less than breathtaking! It is a reward for your hard-earned effort. Climbing up the peak is not just limited to peak climbing, it is an experience where you will enjoy staying in tents and eating self-cooked food. It is an opportunity to tackle what comes by. Your climbing journey depends on the weather conditions and may vary from 8 to 12 hours. For climbing up the Pisang Peak, you will need to be physically fit and should be aware of a few climbing techniques. Escape Himalaya offers this amazing package that allows you to go through the adventure and experience the beguiles of Nepal’s peaks close.

You can also opt for our Island Peak Climbing as well. Join us in this adventure for gorgeous views of the mountains and a path covered in snow where the ethereal sense of wonderment never ceases to exist!

    2Day 02

Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour and Climb Preparation

Today, you will get the opportunity to look at various sites enlisted under the World Heritage Sites List by UNESCO around the city. The old temples, opulent monasteries, old Royal Palaces and the unique arts and architectures carved in the woods, metals and stones present a captivating premise for you to explore. You will visit the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple and the largest Stupa on Earth- the Boudhanath Stupa which holds the ever-present Buddha eyes on all four sides. Next, you will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a very sacred Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva set on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Sometimes, you can also witness cremation rituals on the bank of the holy river. You will also visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square where you can have a look at various old palaces built during the reigns of kings in medieval times. The Kathmandu Durbar Square was badly affected by the 2015 earthquake and many of the palaces and old temples around the Durbar Square were destroyed. The reimbursement process is going on but for the majority of the area, the rebuilding process and reconstruction is underway. Next is the holy Swayambhunath temple, sacred to the Buddhist people. It is a famous pilgrimage site.

    11Day 11

Trek to Manang (3,450m/11316ft), Duration: 6 Hours

The cold and dry climate creates a harsher environment here. You will be showered with incredible views of Himalayan Peaks.

Overnight at the Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

    12Day 12

Trek to Yak Kharka (4,110m), Duration: 3-4 Hours

From Manang village, the trail crosses a stream, climbs to the village of Tenki above Manang, and then continues to climb out of the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola. The trail follows this valley northward, passing a few pastures and a scrub of juniper trees as it steadily gains elevation. The trail further passes near the small village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trailhead.  Now, the trail goes through meadows where horses and yaks graze. After crossing a small river on a wooden bridge, the trail passes an ancient Mani wall in a pleasant meadow and then reaches another small village of Yak Kharka. A little but gradual ascend is the key to avoiding altitude problems.

Overnight at the Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

    13Day 13

Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,600m), Duration: 3-4 hours

We will make our way to the foot of the pass, Throng Phedi today. Thorong Phedi is a small busy settlement catering to the needs of tired trekkers and climbers. Trekkers usually use this point as a base camp. Some visitors also attempt a hike to the High Camp today so that the next day can be easier for them. Although we will have a tough day tomorrow, we will stop at Thorong Phedi so that we can sleep soundly rather than have a risky sleep at the higher altitude at the High Camp.

Overnight at Thorong Phedi at the guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

    14Day 14

Trek to Muktinath (3800m) Crossing over Thorong La Pass (5416m), Duration: 7/8 hours

Today, early in the morning, we will start our climb to the pass. The initial stage of the ascend is very steep. As we approach the peak, it becomes much sloppier. After making our way through rocky ridges, we will be on the top of the pass (5416m). The top offers an unexplainable 360-degree panorama of snowcapped peaks extending northwards into Tibet. Looking back, we can view several peaks of Annapurna, and in front of us is the unfathomable gorge of Kali Gandaki. Our trail then descends steeply down to Muktinath (3800m) - an important pilgrimage sight for Hindus. It is home to many ethnic Tibetans and holy Buddhists as well.

Overnight at the guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

      Gorgeous Views!

Excellent trekking experience with Escape Himalaya to Kala Patthar! Everything went seamlessly, and my guide ensured we were safe and comfortable at all times, even in the high altitude. Will definitely choose EH again when I am back in Nepal for more hiking! The country is so beautiful and just has so much to offer!

Amazing Manaslu Circuit with Phurba & Ram

Just back from a fantastic 2 week trek around the Manaslu Circuit including Larke Pass (5100m). The weather was perfect and the views were outstanding!!

Our guide Phurba Sherpa was excellent. Super knowledgeable and helpful at all times and always made sure we had a fantastic trip.

Our porter, Ram Badhadur Magar was also a rockstar. He was super professional and always arrived before us every day. He was also super friendly and helpful too.

Thanks to Phurba, Ram for always smiling and for a fantastic trip. Would highly recommend them to anyone interested in trekking in Nepal

      Everest base camp trek - Mar-Apr 2024

My 60 year old pals set out in hope on this adventure. In late March. We had our guide Raj Kumar and two porterd Janak and Ramesh. All three were stars. We changed our schedule - no problem. I would not have made it without Raj. I cannot thank him enough. Janak often took my back pack on steep climbs where I was struggling. This is a truly majestic and spiritual trek and I would encourage using Escape Himalaya and request this team of guide and porters if you want to give yourself the best chance of finishing and making best use of your time.
